"Try not to become a person of success, but rather try to become a person of value." - Einstein
Focusing on success tends to put your attention on yourself and what you can get. It may not, but I find it more helpful to think of value.
Focusing on value immediately puts your attention on your impact on others. Is what you're doing now offering value to others?
In my daily success journals, I could list things such as "changed the colors on my website." That is a valid success, but it doesn't add a whole lot of value to other peoples lives.
When we feel fear of failure or taking a risk it can be real seductive to focus on success. How valuable it is to others, you can't actually control, but you can know that you offered something, and that is a success.
